Currently heading the website of Swiss news magazine «Die Weltwoche», Andreas Thut is an online publisher of the first hour. Since 1997 he has been working for a multitude of online media in both editorial and technical/administrative roles. Starting off as a local journalist for «Berner Zeitung BZ», he became an online journalist and product manager during the pioneering phase of «Tages-Anzeiger» online. Further positions were with Swiss Broadcasting Corporation as a project manager, Swissinfo Webfactory as a teamleader and with BBC Scotland as head of their web development team in Glasgow. Andreas loves cinema, photography and the history department in British bookshops. He also writes a technology and gadget column called «Objekte» for «Die Weltwoche». Finding an optimal synthesis between content and technology is his passion.

Andreas Thut, aktuell Internetverantwortliche und Technik-Kolumnist («Objekte») der Weltwoche, ist Web-Publisher der ersten Stunde. Seit 1997 ist er sowohl in redaktionellen als auch in technisch-administrativen Rollen für diverse Onlinemedien tätig. Nach Anfängen als Lokalredaktor bei der Printversion der Berner Zeitung BZ war er Online-Journalist und Produktmanager in der Pionierphase von Tages-Anzeiger Online. Es folgten Stationen als Web-Projektleiter bei der SRG, Teamchef der swissinfo Webfactory sowie Leiter des Web-Entwicklungsteams der BBC Scotland in Glasgow, UK. Er liebt das Kino, Fotografie und die «History»-Ecke in britischen Buchhandlungen. Die optimale Synthese aus Inhalt und Technologie ist seine Passion.
